Massimiliano Granillo
Massimiliano Granillo, born in Naples on Sept. 11, 1995, and raised for 25 years in Bergamo, Italy, began his journey in the restaurant business while attending the hotel institute. His story took a significant turn during an internship as an assistant chef, when he suddenly found himself filling in for an ailing pizza chef, paving the way for his passion for pizza.
After accepting the challenge of working in a pizzeria, he dropped out of school and took on the role of assistant pizza chef. Despite initial difficulties, his dedication and commitment led him to become the official pizzaiolo's right-hand man. However, one day when the main pizza maker returned, he found himself in a difficult situation and decided to quit his job.
After a period without steady employment, Maximilian was approached by a pizza maker named Michele, who invited him to join him at a new restaurant. There he found his mentor and began honing his skills in the pizza world. After a week's trial, he signed his first contract and began to grow professionally.
After 5 years of apprenticeship and growth in the industry, Maximilian decided to pursue a new career path in a factory. However, his passion for pizza never left him, prompting him to return to the industry with a broader perspective. He then decided to move to Switzerland, bringing with him his personality, experience and determination to change his life.
After a few years, Massimiliano made the decision to open his own business in Switzerland, focusing exclusively on pizza shovels. His story reflects his dedication and perseverance in achieving his goals in the world of gastronomy, starting from his roots in Naples to the founding of GMPro.
